Actually, those are the same phone .. just the $1100+ one has 256Gb of storage vs 64Gb. My phones have gotten by with 32Gb without issue .. I think 64Gb will be fine. My iPads, however, since they do music duty, get the max storage.

yeah, but $150 for 192 gb..I can get a branded 256g card for my phone for $120ish, a non name one for half that. $50ish for 128gb brand name plus the 64 in the phone..I'm still under $600...

And my S8 phone is waterproof - the new iphone only splashproof.

And BOTH will be outdated by next year...let alone in 2 years or so when they're paid off.

I don't disagree .. I will probably go for one of the 8s.
 
For me they look to get you to think that you need the latest thing, what ever it. I still have an old big back TV I watch. My sister said she was surprised I haven't bought a flat screen TV. I will when this one does. My attitude is it's still working, the picture is still good and I can see the same show on my TV that someone paid 2k for because it's the latest thing.

Some people would laugh at the TV I still have. I don't care. At least I ain't had to take out a mortgage just to watch TV. LOL

just dont complain when others look at you as being just like every other dj and that you all do the same thing, and the other guy is probably $50 less.

I thought about going to Iphone, but just could not do it, I think if I was already in the Apple Ecosystem, but my issue with Apple is the way they wont let you use a SD card , instead forcing you to buy a more expensive version of the phone , that really toast my floating goat on the moat.

Just get it repaired when it dies. It will have instant value because the repair will be twice as much as a new one ;)

Samsung did that with the S6. What's the difference? I'm not sure what the deal is with the S8 yet.

Taso I hear what you're saying. For me I don't see the need to buy certain things just because it's the latest thing. I believe in sometimes buying a thing because it is needed. I have learned to watch out for buying things just because I want it. That's what gets a lot of people in trouble leaving them with big money problems.

Another thing I've learned to do is to be patient and wait for a while. Sometimes you need to wait till they get the bugs out and sometimes by waiting you get to save money because of a price drop.

What you choose to do is fine, and there is nothing wrong with your logic... however, many customers have this same mentality when shopping for dj's, so don't blame them as long as you don't mind catering to them.

Mix you do know you can go out and get a 50 inch for 225 to $250 and will have a Much better picture than you have now.

I know there are apps for controlling mixers and DMX for the iPad. Not sure about music duties, maybe a controller that links to the iPad instead of laptop?

All I know for me is it's not that big a deal to me. Why spend money when I don't have to?
