I've been in customer service and sales for a long time as well .. there is a difference between a threat and a promise ...Nah, that's not my style. I worked in customer service for close to ten years and threats like that are meaningless. I just can't believe that they'd be that inconsiderate - if their recordkeeping sucks, just be honest about it and offer a discounted re-purchase rate or something. I didn't cause the problem, I barely used the program, and if the license was revoked or "hijacked" (?), they're the only ones who would know.
I can find an alternative to using their software program. It's unfortunate that this is the reason why I will.
That is piss poor customer service .. basically saying you're lying and could fabricate all the evidence including the CC info .. all for a $69 item. I would not have threatened .. just told them I planned to make sure others reconsidered doing business with them.
