Hey djtalk forum! So I had a gig 2 weekends ago which didn't go as planned. My setup due to the size of the room was 2 ETX 12p tops and 1 ETX 18sp. So everything was fine until the last hour of the gig. The Rane one level was evenly lit up on led betters no red. The tops were set to I believe -3db and sub was -7db. There was no red flashing clip on back of the 18sp at all and boom all of a sudden it sounded like the 18sp busted. It was playing but sounded distorted like bass was gone.
Could it indeed have blown or is it an internal amp issue? Im on my 2nd year and only done about 6 gigs. The tops are plugged into the 18 using the crossover settings set to talk to the 18 to use less bass in the tops.
What do you guys recommend I do next? It is past guitar center warranty and it has I believe a year left with EV warranty. I read somewhere that someone blew theirs and EV put an updated amp or driver in them but im not tech savvy so I wouldn't know nor know why it blew. Hope someone can help. Thanks!
