We're still talking about DJing here; right?[emoji1] Otherwise he can spare us the details![emoji1]I don't think there has been a single time where you have played by yourself.

He needs a battle buddie to be with him.
Sorry to burst your bubble but I've done a number of events where I played alone. My issue has to do with lifting the speakers on stands or polls at a gig. I don't like asking a guest to help me lift the speakers and putting them on stands or polls. My back isn't what it used to be. This guy doesn't have a problem with lifting speakers up. I keep telling him he's going to regret it later on in life. He still won't listen. He's 25 and I'm 57.I don't think there has been a single time where you have played by yourself.
Watch how you say that man. Someone might get the wrong impression and think we're gay. Never have been and never will be. LOL.So they are playing with each other and doing a good job.
Sometimes we play together and other times it's one of us that plays the whole time. This time it was him. He was right for the job. If I did it I would have sucked for this event.
The DJ who doesn't DJ ....
Noo .. a roadie who can't move gear ..Wait, so essentially Mix is just a roadie, that explains a little
[宮城健介]In order to build a good reputation one must begin with a reputation worthy or at least capable of being advanced.[/宮城健介]
Let me keep it simple. I have certain styles of music that I don't know. So certain events I wouldn't be good at. He did a great job. I'll say it again. I'm not the hip hop and r & b DJ of today. Not my cup of tea. Most of them to me sound alike and don't have any real talent. That's just my opinion.MIX why do you do this? You should be doing the gigs yourself, build a good reputation for yourself not someone else. When you first start out Yes work with someone learn the ropes. You have (so you say) 20 plus years of experiences DO THINGS YOURSELF
Have you done the business plan to take a look at what the potential market is for what you ARE a good DJ fit for? Talent or not, if Hip Hop and new RnB is what your market is looking for, you either need to learn to tolerate it and use it .. or .. find a new market.Let me keep it simple. That's where this other guy comes in and like I said he does a great job. So if the crowd wants that stuff he can deliver it. It's not just in me. I have it but wouldn't know what to play unless it's a stupid Beyonce song. People ask if I like her or not. I tell them she can really sing. It's just that they give her stupid songs to sing.Mix then you will find very few places to play your style of music. I am not a big fan of country music but if your gonna be a DJ and entertain clients you better have a little of everything. If you are ONLY going to specialize in one style or type of music YOU are only gonna get that type of client in which you will be limited on the number of events you will do. If this make you happy then by all means my friend go for it
