Part of our job is to coax people dance.....

actually our job is to play music that the majority will want to dance to. But we really can't make anyone dance.

Is anything, and I mean ANYTHING ever easy with you, Steve? :sqerr:

....... but flip it around.... do YOU dance?

I do, and always have, though poorly. I will say though, that I enjoy it less now than before.

I dance as a guest, but never as the DJ.

I know you don't mean it badly, but the word MAKE doesn't belong in the title.

None of our job is to MAKE people do anything.:sqwink:

If I do dance, people usually ask me to STOP! :sqerr: :sqfrown: :sqwink: :sqlaugh:

Actually, I used to dance a lot (was a lot thinner and drunker then, wonder if there's some kind of correlation?) many moons ago, but not so much anymore.

There are some local classes given for the ballroom stuff (foxtrot, waltz, tango, etc.) and after I get back to work, I'd like to take some lessons. I think it would be neat to learn how to dance some of the classic dances instead of the "white boy wiggle" that I do. :sqwink:

I can't line dance for diddly....I keep forgetting what comes next....:sqcool: Right foot, left foot, slide...it's sooooo confusing! :D

I used to dance more when I was a drinker.
Now I am pretty selective to music I dance to....and my arm getting twisted up to my shoulder blade...by my wife.

Do some dancing behind the console when the mood arises.

Don't do dancing instruction and not sure if it is the best thing to do as it usually brings up the woman more than the men.

It really depends on the music for me.

LOL

Just clarifying a point Papa!

It is always easy with me!

As was already stated, I have a BIG problem with the premise of this thread.

My job is to be the catalyst for a good time, whether that includes dancing or not. It is not my role to MAKE anyone do anything. If a prospective client wants me to MAKE the guests do anything, I'll pass because that's a potential disaster in the making.

Relax dammit... it was a SIMPLE poor choice of words....

Geeeze........

I think you all know what I meant and have decided to make it an issue. WTH? As I told you before, THIS forum does not allow you to fix a thread title, or I would have.

I'm sorry if my writing style makes me appear caustic...I didn't mean for my post to be interpreted that way. I was just making a point!

Cool?

Cool... and I overreacted.. Sorry too.

All I meant was, simply a fun thing... liek if we can get people to dance, do we also enjoy dancing...

puts out hand.... to shake.

Hey guy's, lets relax here...

Chuck if you want me to change the thread title let me know. In order to prevent confusion and an uproar :)

Yes please.... LOL.... You figure out a good way to say it! :sqwink:

BTW, this forum is different... many other allow thread title editing... ( maybe not a good idea ).... but also a LONGER time to change content in the body of a message (I think a good thing )...

To answer you question, my equilibrium and balance are bad--especially in low light. Because of that, I may gyrate in a small area, but that's not REAL dancing! :sqlaugh:

Gonna talk to dan about that. Typically you should be able to, however I think there may be a minor bug in the forum software to allow thread title changes, really the bug work around is an admin/moderator fix to manually change it on the main screen. by double clicking the title.

To the contrary I dance, and my wife usually accompanies me to events. We will usually start off a Cha-Cha or Swing number. Sometimes when I see a good freestyle dancer I will ask her to dance they like that.It keeps things going. I never forget why I'm there though.......to facilitate a good time.
