I'm asking this question because I didn't want to derail another thread. For me I would love 4 of the DSR 215's and 2 more Yorkville 801p's. A couple of really nice moving heads and another dual cordless mic. I'm salivating right now just thinking about it. Too bad my bank account says you're joking aren't you?

why would you like to have those you don't have the gigs to support owning them, you can't move them by yourself, it makes absolutely no business sense.

You should be dreaming about having a REAL business you know where you pay taxes acquire, music legally, have decent paying gigs that you can do with out someones help.

Another ETX18sp, a van with a wrap on it perhaps, a warehouse attached to my house..or a house attached to a warehouse, truss system, very bright projector, moving heads, maybe 2 more DXR tops..a sex craved 21 year old woman with a hot bod to come over now and again (notice I didn't say GF or wife...), ...

now, to go make a business plan to make that happen!
But alas, the cliche' 'best laid plans of mice and men' seems to apply all to often!

Warehouse space is nice, but it fill up way too fast with stuff you don't need

Well...my basement is full of stuff..i have a 12x12 tool shed (full) and a 10x20 shed (full)...and no garage.

I was a mechanic and car and bike hobbyist so I have a shitload of tools, large and small. IF i had a garage with a lift I'd restore some old van or hot rod or build a 'kit' car. Need more space (and well, maybe money).

I have canoe and a kayak, bicycles (5 or 6..me, kids, etc).

At times I've played with wood..table saw, chop saw and many other things..would LOVE to have shop space.

I've done some welding and would like to do more, some fabrication..need a dedicated space.

Hobbies include r/c planes (so work bench, storage space), model trains (packed away for 15 years..kids..might be a nice retirement hobby), and I shoot competitevely so much of my basement is taken over by guns, reloading bench, storage of reloading materials, targets, etc.

Shed also has mowers, tractor, trailer, other yard control items. I just picked up a 15 gal ele sprayer take last night for weed control..need a place to put it.

Misc ladders, painting stuff (2 compressors), materials (wood, metal). Currently have no car parts laying around...but I have friends with several garages of 'spare' parts.

I can paint cars..need a space for that.

My son is about to drive and a friend has an 81 trans am for sale cheap ($1000) complete, but needs finished (exhaust) is starting to rust from sitting, and needs an interior. Hmm..if I had a garage...LOL.

I also have a 19' boat that i'd rather have inside than out, and a 28' camper plus a cargo trailer...

Yes, I need a warehouse!! LOL

3 years ago I built a 40x80 shed with a 40x40 loft it's full already

And you should listen to your bank account. It's telling you that there is no revenue coming in now or the foreseeable future that would warrant this purchase.

I rarely purchase equipment unless I know it will provide a quick return or make my life a lot easier, saving me time.

If it's an usual event, I'll rent

Equipment sitting in a garage, basement or shed collecting dust is money wasted to me. When I no longer am using equipment on a regular basis, I usually sell it. Good equipment holds it value so it's easy to sell. I do have some stuff that has accumulated, but it's not a lot.

I should start a late 70s through Mid nineties DJ gear museum, for some reason I have most of that stuff still,

i have an old set of mackie 15" passive tops and a partly-reworked 18" sub that are doing me no good. The amps and other newer passive speakers have been sitting dormant for almost ayear, but will be using them this month. Backup..second setup...for outdoor use..they have a purpose or several.

I think most other stuff I've gotten rid of or still use at times. Saturday I'll be using my wired mic (backup usually), dual GTD and ye olde shure and i'll have both mixers connected.

Just about to order some more cables and second laptop stand..yeah, i do have old one I'm not using I suppose. Hate it. And a roadcase too.

Everything else is pretty much affordable at this point.

^ This is key. And if you're equally good at DJing, time management, sales and marketing, you can pretty much live your life on cruise-control.

I could have a similar museum. I rarely sell or get rid of anything and I've never sold any gear I bought for me just stuff I bought in lots a few times. I'd be late 80's to present day

Mix understand what you want and what you need are 2 different things. I would love a long wall of sr4738 jbls with qsc amps to match, my bucket list also has a 2006 Pontiac gto BUT as one gets older you have to plan for the future. Unless I hit the lottery which that wont happen I spend wisely not foolishly.

I had an 06 GTO it was alright but there are a lot of better cars out there

To win the mega Millions or Poweball Jackpot. Go buy a house in Ocean City, MD. Then buy another house down in Orlando so we can go to Disney World whenever we want. I would also probably purchase a Condo in the Florida Keys. Then I would buy a couple of Corvettes, and a couple Camaro SS (one each for my wife and I). Also purchase a Lamborghini at some point.

DJ Equipment...I really don't want more DJ Equipment. Here on out, my goal is to have a quick load in and load out. I just want to deejay at my gigs, nd earn my keep. I don't care about having a big lighting display or big awesome sound system any more.
