I get some of the same parties and the same dates around that time each year. Normally, to keep the biz going I charge slightly more for the same parties each year. However I'm part of a chain biz that gives me gigs basically any free dates that I have.

Well depending on the number of guests I would say if it's 200 or below, then you should be charging about $300. Then anything more than 200 people charge at least $400.

It's either all or nothing. We have cheap prices when we know we should have cheap prices and we have expensive prices when we know we can get away with charging a lot. But either way we use all our equipment at every event we do. However we only use out 9ft booth at Bar/Bat mitzvahs.

Can't agree more dude. My old school used to always complain that I charged to much, so they ended up not using me for one of the dances, they went with a guy that was half the price and they hated him, the guy couldn't DJ for his life! Needless to say I was back for the next dance at full price.
