I said let me try something. I remembered I had a GC credit card. So I decided to see if I could get some more speakers. I couldn't get them off my old CC. I applied for a new CC and was approved for $2,000. I was able to order a pair of QSC K12.2. They are better than the QSC CP speakers I was going to buy. I'm EXCITED! So things are coming together slowly. All I can say is 2 things. Thank God and I won't be leaving them in the van. They will be here this week.

Super Mixxy. Nice speakers. 12 inchers, You have seen the light. :laugh:Buy the covers before you trash the speakers. Did not see any threads where you asked for advice or recommendations on your purchase?
Thought you were a Yamaha man?? :djsmug:

I'm a fan of quality speakers. I know those speakers are great.

I have a habit of not telling anyone what I buy.
I have another habit of not posting it online.
But I've never had my van stolen either, so don't take that as any kind of advice.
You just can't help it. You love taking jabs at people.

Just thought we could save you a little money and buy XLR cable , covers or other needs With the money you could have saved.
You will never need any other speakers
Mixxy. Have fun. Might keep an eye on your living quarters. People know you have gear.

Great speakers, were you smart enough to get the covers to keep them nice, do not take them out of the box until you have covers,
Secondly have you done the math to figure out what you need to charge per gig to pay them off?

Great speaker Mix I have used them several times they are far more than you will ever need which is a good thing. At 47.5 Lbs you could have done better in the weight department but not bad. If it was me I would get covers as soon as possible and buy a couple of lockout covers so no one could mess with them and protect them in travel

Just out of curiosity what did you pay for them? they are $1549 up here in Canada

$1,919. I think you're talking about the QSC CP series.

K12.2's have had problems - they shut down without warning, going into Protect Mode prematurely. Personally, I'd avoid these.
I was waiting for someone to say this. These don’t quite have the reputation of the original k12 series. There’s a lot of firmware isssues and if you look on eBay there are countless people offering repair services for errors that appear. If it was me I’d get a used pair of the original k12’s I still use 4 of them from 2008 as monitors, cocktail and ceremony speakers.

He had a $2000 guitar center credit card burning a hole in his pocket, he had to buy something they carry and because he has an incessant need for instant gratification they also needed to be in stock

Wrong again as usual. It's not a need for instant gravitation. It's needing to get some speakers. What Taso said I get that. What I say It's user error. Looking to push the speakers beyond what they are intended to do just because they have the name QSC. My partner messed up a pair of Mackie Thumps pushing them to hard in a small room that didn't need them to be that loud.

It’s nothing to do with user error. It’s faults in the firmware. The original k12’s are more basic in their function, which as a result has fewer issues. The k12.2 are more capable with additional features, but it’s also created more issues as a result.

Please just wish me well and I mentioned user error because some who don't know will look to get a piece of gear to go beyond what it was made for. I have seen it happen at times.

The speaker is very capable… like I said I have four original k12’s that I utilize at least one of at every event. They’re rock solid. The k12.2 are a little louder but the trade off is their reliability. I hope you have no issues at all.

GET CASES!

If not willing to invest in qsc branddd ($100 each) at least get these which are 2 for under $100. I used them and they do the job.
