Maybe DJ DON is a BAD DJ, who got drunk and cranked the music so loud he blew the limiters out and then the amps fried!.

And was he playing rap music with the jeep bumin bass....

That is a BAD DJ.... he should have known better.....and used more subs

====================================

The guy selling them is DJ Don. He's on Sid's board. Those FBTs take a dump last week. Don got them fixed and then put them on Ebay. From what I hear they can be a little harsh when pushed. Thats something the 322a don't do.

I think I'm done fighting this RCF thing. Today I'm throwing in the towel and ordering a pair of 322a from mike(audiopyle sound).

I'm not sure who you are fighting with?

Hi Kelly,

The person I'm fighting with is my self. I really want a pair of 3-ways in a birch cabinet. Not a hunk of plastic on a stick. The problem is that their are only a couple of 3-ways that have a pole socket in them. And after checking out the ones that I know about, none of them will fit my needs. The JBL PRX535 is the only that will do what I want. The problem is that they get harsh at about a 127 db and up. Also the wrap a round grill will dent.

If anyone knows of some good speakers with a pole socket, please post.

just noticed their data is a ltittle inconsistant. on the main page it says it has a pole mount, but on the specs page it has a "-" in the collum for it.

103.4 lbs might be a lot to put on a tripod anywho.

Why would you want to pole mount such a cab? That means that you will be splitting the subs and creating a 'power alley'. You should couple your subs in the center and then use some of these: http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/?p=productsMore&iProduct=30&sName=WS-540 to support the mid / high cabs. The 4001 RCF's are sweet but you can fly the 322's if the need arises...

Steve,

Thats a great idea! I have one of those Quik Lok stands, them things are built like a tank.

I just did a price check on them 3-way RCF. They are $3400.00 a pair, thats more then I got. My budget for the new tops is two grand.

The 322's would fit your budget, are lightweight, loud and clear. There's the new QSC HPR153i 3-way 15" active cab which goes for $1099.00 but you're still talking 118 pounds... Ouch...

Its funny you mention that speaker. I was just thinking about the new QSC line. I called CG and they don't have them in yet. They said they could order me a pair and it would be on their 30 day satisfaction guarantee.

Get the RCF's man!! You have them big Yamaha's to rip down the bigger gigs..

John,

I think your right. A 118 lbs sounds scary.

Hey you know that mod, I think his name is Spazz or something like that. He has a pair of the QSC 153i's and he says they sound awesome.

I called my QSC dealer and he said a pair of HPR 153i with covers would cost $2000.00, thats with shipping. Then I did a seach on 3 differant boards to see what people are saying about them. Here's what I found out. Most people say that the 153i sound like the JBL PRX535. Most people can't tell them apart. So what that says to me is that the 153i isn't that good. I heard the JBL 535 and wasn't impressed.

So once again it looks like the RCF wins. I guess a hunk of plasic on a stick won't be so bad as long as it's from RCF.

The RCF ART 322a maybe or is the best value for under two grand.

Man G you are killing me here. The QSC's sound good. Damn good. RCF just sounds cleaner at louder volumes but they do lack the thump. But thats ok. Because with the 808 you will be fine.

Hey, have you heard the self powerd 18" sub? It's the PRX518S

I was just going to see what your take was on it. I can get em for around $1100.00 shipped or so....not sure totally on pricing but about that....

I was going to pair them up with these speakers from Spain...Work WPL 5A
I like these speakers! 300 watt 15", 100 watt 1" high

I have never heard the Work speakers. They could be good? How much are you getting them for?

As for the JBL sub their are better values out their. The wrap a round grill on the PRX line will dent. I would stay away from that line. Here's a list of subs that are a great value for the money.

1. Yorkville LS 800p or LS 808(passive)
2. FBT Maxx 10
3. RCF ART 705
4. B-52 ACT 18

All of those subs are winners. You just need to pick one that best suits your needs.
