BTW, what app do I use to control Rockit over the internet?

How much money you got kid -- I can show you all sorts of cool stuff...? :D

Actually, it's fairly easy. You can use any language, and just connect via TCP, and use the commands in the addendum of the manual :)

BTW, how come nobody reads my manuals...? :sqconfused:

Rick. I just downloaded the trial version for your Rock It software. I must say im quite impressed. I currently use VDJ, and while its good, its a little complex for my needs. I really like the interface you have and the music library features are clean and easy to use. I will be buying the full version soon. Thanks for making a great product. I look forward to learning all about Rock It in the upcoming days.

Couple little neat things I put into V5...

Randy gets a newly redesigned playlist editor, where he can actually sort, among other cool stuff :)

Fonts in all lists, are now re-sizable on the fly. Just grab the slider, and you watch it amazingly change on screen (without looking like a train wreck). Bah-da-Bing :D

Now, I'm trying to actually get those to save to the skin files (delicate process, but I believe I will succeed). Maybe colors too...

Lots of other cool stuff, like startup autoplay options and stuff...

Work hard, Play hard, Drink beer... :D

my guess is its ready but the final tweaks has to be done by sir Rick so he wont have too many bitching from some folks:sqwink:

remember this is just a guess.

Rick, when do you think 5 will be ready?

BTW, the skin updates are now working :sqcool:

Not sure how much I'll be able to make available, in terms of what can be updated (I don't want to turn Rockit into a skin designing program), but you'll be able to change the fonts and font sizes of lists and trees, and maybe the colors as well, without having to open up a skin file :)

BTW, this is not something you will want to be doing while playing a gig -- there's quite a bit of overhead involved in opening, parsing and rewriting the skins, so best to do it on off hours... ;)

Hey Rick

I did not read this entire thread so not sure this has been answered or addressed but:

Does Rockit have preset equalizer settings?

Any plans on adding ASIO driver support so we can use the built in sound card on say the Denon HD-2500? That is really the only thing holding me back from purchasing Rockit.

Yeah, they preset themselves in the middle on startup... :sqlaugh:

Sorry, couldn't help myself :D

Anyway, no. The reason I never added them to V4 (older versions had them), was because nobody asked for them, and in my conversations with users, I found that well above 90% prefer to EQ via hardware for better control. Also, I only make 3 bands available, so there's not a whole lot of combination's. Rockit can have 32 bands per channel, but since nobody really uses it that much, I cut it back to 3 generalized bands.

Not really. ASIO is pretty much legacy at this point, and a bear to support. Rockit can use the ASIO cards (including the 2500) -- it simply sees them as a single stereo output channel. The large majority of my customers only use a single output channel for both decks, the ones that want them split, use two cards -- one of them could be the 2500 card...

Thanks Rick - I do like the presets that are available in Winamp but I don't care to much for the Winamp program as much as I like Rockit. But I do have to say I like the ease of just going down a list and changing up the EQ with just a preset. Well guess I'm back to manually doing it after all because I'm not giving up my Rockit!

I could add it in, if enough people asked for it (too late for V5.0 though)... :)

Ooh! Ooh! Do I detect a shiny new software version coming very soon?

I'll never tell... :sqerr:

Well, ok, for the right amount of beer, I might give a hint or two... :sqlaugh:
