Here are pics of the new CPS rig, as promised...
These were taken in my laboratory...er I mean... equipment workshop. It will be on the road as soon as the rest of the database gets finished.

Steve Fernino, I am overwelmed by all of the equipment... 2 Denon CD / Midi controllers... plus the other midi controller.... How much does that thing weigh... I hope you have a trailer and someone to help you with that thing...
Looks awsome... Keep up the good work... (Though I am not impressed by the mac LOL)

Thanks!
Weight has never been an issue with this system...
99.9% of the facilities we play in have ramps... no stairs. The one that has a 2nd floor has an easy accessible elevator. We have used a non CPS version of this rig for years. We do also have smaller rigs we can use when needed...
The goal for our #1 has always been about having all the tools necessary at our disposal. Also, I have found that this larger rig is quicker and easier to setup than our smaller rigs with the powered speakers... very efficient.

Up until we added the CPS gear, we had a denon dnd9000 cd player. The amps are very lightweight and powerful. One person alone could tip the rig into or off of the van and slight it in place. With the extra weight of the UPS and rack drawers, that is not as easy, but we built it with the intention of also picking up a trailer before next season.

The imac runs torq and plays off of our dual raid 1 1TB drives (the light grey/whitish drive) This has our full library (currently wav, possibly changing to Apple Lossless). Torq is controlled by the Denon HC4500 midi controller (and is also the sound card used for Torq)... additional functions and sampler triggers are handled by the M Audio Trigger Finger controller. The Connectiv sound card (which is the dongle for torq) is connected for emergency reboots, as a backup soundcard, backup bypass for the mixer, and a live 3rd deck for iTunes running on another screen (using spaces in OSX.)

The Denon HD2500 uses the other hard drive and has our "extended" library in WAV format. The internal drive of the 2500 has our "essential" library in mp3 VBR format 192-320.

We are pretty much setup for anything that is thrown at us. I am also able to have multiple pre-cued options at all times.

This system is always used by a 2 DJ team. When we do 1 DJ shows, we bring smaller setups. As far as the mac goes... I don't care who it impresses ;) I personally refuse to use anything else.. I don't do windows!

Steve. That is by far one of the best rack set up's I have seen to date. Quality gear through and through. Very nice.

Thank you John... I am very picky about my gear. Every piece in the rack has proven reliable to me many times over (in the case of the new Denons.... my old DND9000s ran for many years with zero issues.)

I'm updating and adding verticals to my show. Here's a quick photo of what I'm doing. Using "O" clamps to hold each Color Splash Jr at each end of the truss. I have plates to mount on top and bottom too.

I'm setting them up next Sat and will get photos of them in action.
