There's really not much can be done. Just try as quickly as I can to get setup and do my job. As long as the couple knows it's not my fault their wedding isn't starting the time it should start. Shift the blame where it needs to be.Macho, Can you answer this? Very interested in how you would handle this kind of situation.

Why is he using your equipment? It's like you guys pool your resources together to do a party. What if you blow a speaker , or other equipment breaks when he is the one getting paid for the gig?
He for speakers only has a pair of Mackie Thumps. He used to have a pair of subs years ago. He sold them because of what happened some years ago. So he's using my speakers to do this weeding. For 250 people attending a wedding you will need some fire power.I think this i the question he meant
how much is he paying to rent your gear??? and for your help for the eveningHe for speakers only has a pair of Mackie Thumps. He used to have a pair of subs years ago. It won't get damaged. We both know what to do with gear. We know just because you're using a nice professional system does not mean you got to go crazy with it. Some DJ's think you got to go crazy loud with the volume trying to impress the crowd. All you're doing is distorting the sound making it sound horrible and possibly damage the gear.Gosh. It's like pulling teeth with you to get a complete answer. And what if he damages your equipment while using it? Uour not getting paid for the gig, so who takes care of the repair?

Let me play along. What kind of gear was that DJ using and how was he using it. Was he using some cheap crap and didn't have enough to use. Then had to make up for what he was lacking, push the system to hard and blew something?Mix I DJed a car show last Saturday. The event was called Cherry Valley Outdoor Sportmans event. The show was sponsor by the Stihl chainsaw corp. They added the car show to the event to attract more people. Well they had a DJ in the other field for the sportmans event
and he blew something, I don't know what a speaker, amp I don't know. He had to travel a hour 1 way and rent a 1000 dollars worth of equipment. The people who hired me told me he was doing that part of the event for nothing so what did he make
The point is when you use top of the line gear it's highly unlikely you will damage something. Especially when you know what you're doing.Mix whats the difference if he was using Bose JBL or QSC what ever it was it blew and it cost him money
