.. then what's your excuse for following the thread?
I mean Papa's got money on reaching 300...
Rick is in just for for sh-- and giggles...
Scott is her to correct every word...
I'm having fun giving Scott more words...
Steve is practicing his one liner's...
Leblanc is holding an old grudge...
Canute is a referree..
and Mix has proved himself smarter than all of us by staying out.
So why are you here? Testing a new anti-anxiety med?
Rick is in just for for sh-- and giggles...
...You are overly obsessed with "correctness" because No one bought Ots 1.xx. it was always clear that we were buying version 2.0 which Ots described as "imminent" (just as they now do Esperance).
What upgrades?
An upgrade that doesn't happen for a decade isn't an upgrade... it's a retro-fit.

Some of you really need to take yourself less seriously and catch a clue about what it means to be in entertainment and production.
I can tell it really touches a nerve with people like Jeff and Scott when you point out they don't know how to mix. The tragedy is that both of them represent a milk-toast tech-centric part of this field that is long over-due for extinction. Both represent exactly the kind of half-hearted non-creative DJs that have been dragging down this entertainment form far too long.
I think what I like most on the horizon of this industry is that much of what you guys do is becoming obsolete and falling out of favor with the public. The software and hardware out there has finally caught up with the real talent that exists in this field enabling talented DJs to truly stand out as they once did on vinyl - as a new form of electronic musician and creative musical entertainers rather than a show host emulating geek who's ultimate responsibility is to just push "play."
We all know it's the human being that is the real heart of this field - but many of you have no clue what that really means. You wax about attempting to create value out of the unnecessary and non-noteworthy. The consequence being the exact opposite of what you seek and instead exposing how insignificant you really are to both the music and the event. You are the antithesis of a DJ because you are the slaves to your machines.
Don't kid yourself.. this DJ turned wedding planner crap for example, doesn't carry any weight with savvy women, and the desperation to commandeer the roles of other vendors only further highlights the insignificance of the talent you bring to bear as a DJ. Maybe I'm just lucky - but, I see brides and planners who are seeking out real entertainment again and not the imitation that resulted from the transformation of DJs from creative talent to consumer market niche.
Many of you are very much the part of an "industry" problem you use these boards to lament about on a regular basis, and you can't even see it. I'm certain Ots will live on as a media server at a mall food court near you. It's days as a serious DJ software ended a long time ago.
So you turned a thread that you created, about your hate for a DJ program into a thread about bashing any DJ that does not follow your train of thought. Good going Bob. What a piece of.......
You're a perfect example of taking yourself (and others) too seriously. No one is requiring you to agree, accept, or personalize my opinion - likewise I have no intention to change it just to make you or anyone else feel better. On the contrary - it may be you who is dependent on group think and has difficult time with dissenting opinion.

Geez Bob, could you get more condescending...?
I think it's fairly lame, that you're telling people they can't mix, yet yer not willing to show us your mad skillz, so we can bow before you.
I'm still waiting, ever so patiently...
It's lame that you need video to decipher what is real and what is not.

Jeff admitted in a prior conversation that he doesn't mix. I didn't just pull that out of my hat.
Scott has never denied that he doesn't mix - affirming a conclusion based on technical errors that underscore his lack of real knowledge about it.
