For anyone in a major metropolitan area the box truck is a great choiceI wish I could figure out a way to perm-mount my van ramp. I've tried hinges, but the ramp lip isn't long enough to make it work. I'm really thinking seriously of upgrading to a box truck next year and go with a lift gate. I'm simply running into more venues where it would be great to use their standard loading dock.

Whenever I end up in a city the easiest load in point is usually a standard loading dock load in from the ground usually ends up being more labor intensiveWait....you're kidding right?

Did your agent give you a reason?...My insurance agent said No to a box truck.
At one time, I thought of those Sprinter vans - but I don't feel like the additional maintenance, insurance, etc on yet another vehicle.
Go for the semi. Skip the in-between steps where you keep upgrading. We went from vans to cube truck, to cube truck + trailer, to freightliner with 53' trailer.....no going back.I don't have electric door locks on my van doors. Have to walk around and check each door one by one. I think I'll buy a semi next year?

Don't want a box truck... what I want is a RAM ProMaster Cargo Van. I have to park in my driveway and a box truck would be too big, and would probably violate the neighborhood bylaws. A few of my neighbors have RAM ProMasters though.[emoji4]

We might be able squeeze my turntables in it as well.I wonder if a semi is large enough for my EVOX 8 system?
I have a minivan strictly for the biz. Having a RAM cargo van wouldn't be much difference in maintenance. They have the same engine I have in my Jeep.
