I have danced between 4-EDM/Pop, 8-Rock and 12-Speech but mostly I go by trial and error as to what sounds the best. I try to revisit the settings early on when the dance floor is full in front of my rig since the presence of people will alter sound propagation in the space significantly...
 
I use the sub synth quite a bit as well. I don't just depress it and leave it on all night though. I find it works better for some songs over others so find myself using it as required....

Compressor seems useful..feedback? Maybe not..don't have that issue often enough..even today I played with a new mic stand and can't get feedback..i tried.

I think I have mono covered now with the plug in for VDJ, but this is cheaper than any mono/sum box I could find..worth it for that alone.

My tracking is showing est arrival date is 8-12, but its already at the Phoenix hub, so my guess is Monday. I will probably test it next week.

Same here. It took a little longer, but it's still free shipping.

So far I tested the compressor with a wireless mic that is too dynamic. The problem with the mic is apparent when speeches are made. If the mic is more than 2 inches away from the mouth the volume drops considerably. The compressor in the goRack will help somewhat, but I had to turn the compressor up to the high 60s.
 
Mine came Monday evening .. opened it, but haven't had a chance to play. I'm doing a small graduation party Friday night where I might throw it on to see how it performs.
 
I tried mine with the bose system and it does make a nice subtle difference in the EQ. I hardly ever use EQ but I will use this. I found that settings #4 and #10 sound the best.
 
I thought to myself, with the limited menu choices, it would be nice if they put that info on the unit itself ... Lo and behold, I turn it over .. and there it is on the bottom .. routing, notch info and EQ .. #4 is EDM/Pop and #10 is Mid Boost.
 
The sub synth will be useful for some extra bass when not using subs. Haven't tried it with a sub yet. Too much stuff to hook up and my sub is in the van.
