New Uplights

10 hours .... These studs are still pumping it out with still 2 solid green LEDs on.
15 hours & all of these still showing strong battery power. The one that did die I believe was the second unit I was using for programming & I'm not sure if I had it back on charge.
Rolling up on 18 hours and all are still going strong..
Hopefully these aren't the type of battery that doesn't recover from being run down to nothing ... [emoji52]

This type of fixture us normally designed to shut down went there is still 20% power left in the battery to prevent damage.

I ended up shutting things down at the 20-ish hour mark, with only one more down at that time. After hour 10, they had passed the mark I wanted. The rest was just to see how far they'd go.
I've seen some direct as low as $15, but haven't done too much investigating since I have a 2 yr free replacement on these.
So, a couple negatives.
1. The LED lights on the back are extremely bright. And the wireless DMX blinks. They really are distracting. I'm going to find some sort of dot to place over them.
2. No outside indicator light when they are on charge. There is one on the inside of yhe unit that you can see if you look at the right angle.

So i was looking at the other items this company sells and was interested in the amazing deal they have on 4 10W Cree LED spot movers ( equivalent to a normal 30 Watt LED Fixture ). Basically they look comparable to Intimidator Spot 150's from Chauvet. $450 for 4 movers is almost worth the gamble
I actually just noticed those movers are from a different company - not the same one. I must've accidentally left their store and went to a recommended page. Hmmmm. It still comes out to $112.50 per moving head. That's still probably too good to pass up. If they don't work out i can live with spending that amount
The batteries for these types of fixtures are for sale on Aliexpress for $39 US including shipping, normally $52 US. I paid $66 Can when I ordered mine, can't remember the US amount at the time. Great supplier. Note my review on the linked page. I wish you luck finding them anywhere else, it took me forever to find this supplier. Lighting manufactures will NOT ship a lithium batteries solo so this was a great find.

Proceed with extreme caution. Moving head fixtures have so many internal moving parts that it's really not worth the risk. Uplights, sure. Lights with motors, gears, gobo wheels, etc.? I wouldn't.

Lighting manufacturers will ship lithium batteries if you ask them to. They're not supposed to and an overseas shipment of nothing but lithium batteries would almost certainly be confiscated, but a number of manufacturers have ways around that (i.e. shipping batteries inside of empty fixtures).
Guys, I ship lithium batteries via UPS all the time. It's just special paperwork. My Canadian friends send me things all the time, marked as "samples".
