I usually don't get involved in political posts but I would like to point out a couple of things.
First yes, Trump won electoral college and that not going to change. Hillary won the popular vote. But there were many they didn't vote because they assumed she was a shoe in. Adding in the third parties there far are more that didn't want him in office. The big issue is how Trump's campaign was handled, his past history and his unpredictability.
I am better far now than 8 years ago, absolutely. Many forgot how bad it was 2008, my investments were push back to levels they were at in the 1990's and my wife who is in banking got laided off because the banking collapse. I too took a hit because then part of my DJ was in banking too. Now investments have been up substantially since 2008, my wife & pretty much everyone I know laided off pre 2008 are working better job be it in other fields. Since I travel regionally now my fuels are 50% of what they used be.
Some of Trump's biggest campaign promises are already not going to happen. There will be no wall, there will be no ban on Muslims, Congress already said that they're not going to set limits on their terms, Hillary will not be indicted/prosecuted. (Although if she is truly guilty why not prosecute ). The swamp is not being drained it's being filled millionaires and billionaires from major corporations. I won't even get into the alt right.
Why I don't care for Trump, it's the way he does business, he doesn't pay contractors and the way he uses bankruptcy. If you were on the the end of him not paying or one of his bankruptcies you'd be singing a different song. Has anybody seen his tax returns, no, so you really don't know what he's into. This treatment of President Obama. Then there is the Central Park Five case you should research. That cost the city 0ver 41 million.
In any event be prepared for a very long 4 years and firsts. One first is to have major protests upon winning a election. Inauguration weekend should be very interesting too.
