Why do I even bother posting this? Start slamming!!! I'm anxious to see what y'all can come up with! Try for something new. I've read all the other drivel!

Nobody's perfect. Neal made some typos. So what? Neal has duplicates. So what?

I used it tonight to find something with a similar BPM. The tool helped me. While I'm not a mixologist, this one came off well.

Sometimes the only way we can truly value something is by putting a price on it. I bought the tool, I used the tool, it helped me improve the service I gave to the client; plus, a $100 tip didn't hurt either.

Hmmmm; I paid $19.95; I got a $100 tip; so I'm $80 ahead by the tool.

and just because your a Ferellite then dont try preaching that to me for a start

I have stayed in this industry for well over 30 years so if I was that bad I wouldnt have lasted

Kevin - I agree with you 100%. Think about all of the folk that have been chased away simply because they offer a philosophy that differs. I've gotten into heated debates with Peter Merry and others over said philosophies which is fine. We can agree to disagree....and from those debates comes learning as well...

With all respect to Dan, there is this philosophy here that if you try to rock the boat, in other words, even tempt debate, you're labelled a renegade, trouble maker, wet blanket......which then subjects you to name calling, ridicule, hijacked posts, relegation to read-only status and ultimately run out of town...simply because you don't "fit in" with the "philosophy" here....

I'm not placing blame solely on "the man"......as much of it rests with "the people" (or a select number)

That's unfortunate......Neal did not deserve what he got here. He's perceived as a "worther" so unfortunately he was never given a chance.....Same thing happened to Stacey Zemon, Dan McKay (bless his soul), Caesar........I could go on and on.

This joint is a virtual "front verandah" more the a DJ forum.....I may not agree or enjoy some of what occurs here. I do participate and share because through that, I've leaned and improved my business. just as I have from the other DJ Boards out there.....

This abode has a bit more of an "acquired taste" owing to some of the personalities....

Where in my post does it imply that I'm a Ferrellite? Mark Ferrell is a friend, he helped me to raise my rates and for that I thank him. Do I agree with all his thoughts and ideas? Nope! I don't know who pissed in your wheaties, Dennis, but I'm not gonna get into your name calling and what not.

I agree and don't dispute your arguments except for the renegade label part. The only ones who get the renegade label are those who consistently cause trouble not because of their philosophy but because they cannot seem to post without inciting an argument. They few that have been banned or are on read only because of this are smart folks, they know better, and I have little reason to believe they don't purposely bait the hook.

Our system isn't perfect I know that and I'd be a fool to think that it is. The hardest part is trying to get everyone to 'play nice' together. You don't have to concede the other person's argument to play nice just have an intelligent debate without the baiting and verbal beat downs.

Dan - and you're blaming the poster?

It's the tool who:

1) can't respond civilly
2) can't debate/discuss without resorting to name-calling, crying, whining or some other childish behavior) like calling the poster a "hack"
3) can't just seem to move on, if they happen to disagree or just don't like the OP period.

The poster takes all the heat; the tool continues his toolery...

It's about 40/60 there are some 'tools' who've gotten hit with infractions too for the toolery. In practice once a flame war starts it's a huge clusterfunk to figure out who did what as it just goes back and fourth. It's not easy to sort it all out. If we started doling out infractions for every instance we'd be left with very few members.

How does the old saying go? "I cannot control how you treat me but I can control my reaction to it." Something along the those lines which is why I put a little more responsibility on the replier.
